Friendly Reminders:

Tue, 01/02/2018 - 9:56am

In general, students participate in outside recess when the temperature combined with the wind chill is not less than 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Having hats, gloves, and coats assures students have the opportunity to be comfortable as they engage in physical activities and get fresh air. We kindly request that you write your child’s last name on the inside tag of his/her coat. This will help ensure that the coat will get returned to your child if it is found in the school, on the bus, or in the lost and found. Please do not drop students off prior to 9:15 a.m. as they do not enter the building until then.

Greetings from the Bully Busters!

Fri, 11/10/2017 - 9:36pm

The Bully Busters are doing lots of fun and empowering lessons with our star students! In kindergarten, we learned how to be a good friend and practiced identifying characteristics of being a good friend in the book, Chrysanthemum. In first grade, we discussed the difference between tattling vs. telling with a story called, A Bad Case of the Tattle Tongue. In second grade, students practiced the “Golden Rule” – treating others the way you want to be treated. In third grade, we reviewed the 3 key players in a bullying situation (Target, Bully, Bystander) and what bullying really entails. In fourth grade, we read the story, Mr. Peabody’s Apple, which highlighted how fast rumors spread and that we must THINK before we speak. Finally, in fifth grade, students learned about indirect bullying and how it can affect students. Together, we are making Fulton Elementary a fun and safe place to be!
